Eleni Efremidou is a Professor in Surgery and the Head of the Department at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis. Her research areas include psychosocial aspects influencing breast reconstruction decisions in women with breast cancer, as well as the impact of the refugee crisis on the Greek healthcare system. She has recently published articles addressing both the psychological predictors of breast reconstruction intentions and the factors affecting decision-making post-surgery.
