The first opportunity is a UNRISK CDT project titled Humanitarian risk pools responding to a changing climate . The second opportunity is a UCL EPSRC doctoral studentship titled Modelling for Policy: Quality assurance of business-critical mathematical infrastructures in government . This project focuses on policy modelling, mathematical infrastructure, quality assurance, government systems, and business-critical analytical tools. The studentship is open only to students with Home (UK) fee status. Applicants should read the complete guidance on the relevant UNRISK CDT or UCL UELA webpage before applying. The deadlines are 13 January 2027 for the UNRISK CDT project and 8 January 2027 for the UCL EPSRC studentship. An online Q&A for the UNRISK opportunity is scheduled for 20 November.
