Fabio Variola

Fabio Variola is a Full Professor at the University of Ottawa, Canada. His research primarily focuses on biomaterials-based strategies for developing in vitro neural models, as well as the application of micro-engineered substrates in studying cell responses. Recent publications include investigations into the structural and functional dynamics of human mesenchymal stem cells and the characterization of hydrogels using in-situ Raman spectroscopy. He contributes significantly to the understanding of cellular interactions with various materials through advanced biophysical techniques.
