SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) is offering a CASE funded PhD studentship in partnership with Eurofinsagro, focusing on the importance of soil health in sustainable cash crop production. The project will use a comprehensive soil health test to characterise the state of diverse soils under contrasting agricultural management and investigate how these factors impact crop production. This opportunity is ideal for candidates interested in sustainable agriculture, soil science, and industry collaboration. The successful applicant will work closely with both academic and industry partners, gaining valuable experience in applied research and agricultural innovation. Funding is provided through a CASE studentship, though specific financial details are not listed. Applicants should have a relevant background in agriculture, environmental science, or a related field, and be motivated to contribute to research that supports sustainable food production systems. For more information, candidates are encouraged to contact Fiona Fraser at SRUC and review the project details on FindAPhD.com.
