Flavia De Santis is the Head of the Genetics area at ZeClinics in Spain. Her research focuses on the mechanisms regulating vertebrate body asymmetry, as demonstrated in her recent articles on Meteorins and their role in the formation of the left-right organizer. She is also involved in developing a zebrafish-based platform for high-throughput epilepsy modeling and drug screening, as well as studying the cellular consequences of KIF5B variants and their impact on clinical phenotypes.
