Francis Hughes is a Professor of Periodontology at Kings College London, UK. His research focuses on the impact of various medications on gingival health, the identification of undiagnosed hyperglycaemia through periodontal measures, and the regulation of fibroblast phenotypes within periodontal tissues. His recent publications include studies on the association between calcium-channel blockers and gingival enlargement as well as the development of predictive models for diabetes identification among adults.
