About
Professor Franz-Josef Luebken is the Director of the Institute for Atmospheric Physics at the University of Rostock, Germany. His research interests include the absorption of solar radiation by noctilucent clouds, radar observations of extreme vertical drafts in the polar summer mesosphere, and the formation mechanisms of small-scale structures related to turbulence. His work also encompasses high-resolution observations of turbulence distributions across tropopause folds and the long-term trends of mesopheric ice layers.
