Postdoctoral Position in Neuroimmunology of Pain Lab at Michigan State University

Join the Neuroimmunology of Pain Lab in the Department of Physiology and the Neuroscience Program at Michigan State University. The lab investigates how communications between sensory neurons and immune cells regulate the transition from acute to chronic pain, combining cutting-edge preclinical models with human translational samples to uncover novel therapeutic targets. Research Focus: Neuro-immune interactions in pain, immune cell regulation of pain resolution (monocytes, neutrophils, mast cells), integration of mouse genetic models with human samples, advanced approaches including single-cell RNA-seq, flow cytometry, imaging, and molecular biology. Responsibilities: Design and lead independent and collaborative projects, apply immunological, neuroscience, molecular, and genomic techniques, analyze and interpret complex datasets, contribute to manuscripts and conference presentations. Qualifications: PhD and strong background in neurobiology, immunology, or pain research. Evidence of scientific productivity in these fields. Experience with animal models and/or advanced molecular techniques preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Highly motivated, independent, and collaborative mindset. Why Join Us? Dynamic and collaborative research environment, strong track record of scientific production, health insurance (including family members), access to state-of-the-art core facilities. Application: Send CV and brief statement of research interests to [email protected] or apply online via the MSU careers portal. For more information, visit the lab website.
