Giovanna Zoccoli is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy. Her research focuses on the physiological mechanisms influencing sleep and breathing, particularly in relation to sleep disorders and metabolic conditions. Recent articles authored by her include studies on autonomic mechanisms in narcoleptic mice and the effects of temperature on sleep breathing phenotypes. She is also investigating the neural control of fasting-induced torpor and related genetic impacts on behavioral patterns.
