The NYU Center for Urban Science + Progress (CUSP) at New York University is seeking two postdoctoral associates to join research teams focused on the future of smart cities. These positions are based at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and are ideal for researchers interested in urban science, data management, governance, and community engagement. The second position, supervised by Dr. Graham Dove and Dr. Takahiro Yabe (Assistant Professors, CUSP and Technology Management & Innovation), will focus on developing and implementing protocols to understand and mitigate community concerns around trust and transparency in smart cities, particularly through innovative approaches to data generation and use. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field such as computer science, urban science, or information technology, and demonstrate strong research skills and an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience or interest in legal frameworks, privacy, stakeholder engagement, or community trust in smart cities is highly valued.
