Heiko Udo Käfferlein is the Head of the Center of Toxicology at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. His research primarily focuses on the carcinogenic properties of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as the role of mismatch repair proteins in various cancers, including cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and Merkel cell carcinoma.
