Prof. Helena Saraiva is a faculty member at the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda in Portugal. Her research areas encompass management accounting regulation, the implementation of balanced scorecards in water utilities to meet the United Nations sustainable development goals, and the evolution of accounting education and profession in Portugal. Additionally, she has explored the cultural economic aspects of flamenco performance and the historical context of accounting standards in the Portuguese insurance sector.
