North Carolina State University is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences in Raleigh, North Carolina. The project is centered on soil carbon sequestration and mineral–soil organic matter interactions , with work to be carried out under Dr. Hui Li (Assistant Professor). The scholar will conduct literature reviews, design and run lab and field experiments, and use advanced analytical approaches including spectroscopic , mass spectrometric , and isotope-labeling techniques. The role also includes preparing peer-reviewed manuscripts and presenting findings at international conferences. This opportunity is especially relevant to candidates with backgrounds in soil science , environmental science , soil chemistry , and related areas of agriculture and environmental science . Preferred experience includes R , stable 13C isotope tracing , and research on nutrient fate and transport . Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field. NC State also notes that the terminal degree must have been completed within the last 5 years by the start date.
