PhD fellowship in Theoretical Catalysis at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of SCIENCE, University of Copenhagen . The project is rooted in the Theory group and connected to the Center for High Entropy Alloy Catalysis (CHEAC) and the ERC Synergy project DEMI . Research topics include electrocatalysis , high entropy alloys , catalyst stability/metastability, density functional theory , statistics, machine learning , and dynamics. Two PhD fellowships are advertised. One project focuses on catalysis on high entropy alloys and energy conversion reactions; the other focuses on modelling the stability of electrocatalyst materials and developing a framework to predict metastability. Eligible applicants should have a degree equivalent to a Danish master’s degree in a relevant field such as chemistry , materials science , or physics . Backgrounds in solid state chemistry/physics, chemical engineering, or computational chemistry are also relevant. The post also asks for relevant publications, work experience, other professional activities, a strong interest in catalysis, and good language skills. The position is a full-time PhD fellowship for up to 3 years, with employment conditional on enrolment in the PhD School at UCPH. The start date is 1 February 2027 or shortly thereafter.
