About
Professor Jenny Clark is a faculty member at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Her research is focused on material science, specifically in the areas of singlet fission, polymorph transformations in thin films, and the interactions of triplet states in various systems. Recent publications include studies on the efficiency of singlet fission in oligomers and the effects of microstructure on crystallinity.
Positions (1)
Jenny Clark
University of Sheffield
A fully funded PhD position is available at the University of Sheffield in the School of Chemical, Materials and Biological Engineering, focusing on perovskite solar cells. The project aims to advance metal halide perovskite (MHP) photovoltaics by exploring energy transfer in advanced triple-junction solar cells and developing novel charge extraction layers in collaboration with Prof Iain McCulloch (University of Oxford & Princeton University). The successful candidate will use cutting-edge spectroscopy to study new materials and integrate them into high-performance solar cell devices. The position offers full tuition (UK or Overseas), a UKRI stipend for 3.5 years, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for conference presentations. Applicants should have a strong background in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related fields, and a passion for renewable energy research.
