Virginia Tech is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Associates in theoretical Quantum Information Science within the Computer Science Department at the Institute for Advanced Computing in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The positions focus on research in quantum computing , quantum algorithms , quantum learning , quantum error correction , and quantum fault-tolerance . The successful researchers will join the quantum information groups of Prof. Steven Flammia and Prof. Jiaqi Leng and will work in a collaborative environment with other members of the broader Virginia Tech community and external experimental and theory groups worldwide. Postdoctoral Associates will conduct original research in the listed quantum information topics, publish results in journals, and present work at conferences. The role also includes opportunities to travel for collaboration and dissemination of research findings. The appointment is based at Virginia Tech's Institute for Advanced Computing, connecting the project to a wider research environment in one of the university's active computing and research settings.
