Open roles:
PhD students, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistant professors.
PhD students:
Full scholarships are available, with a monthly stipend of about HKD 19,000. Outstanding applicants are encouraged to apply for HKPFS, with total annual funding close to HKD 500,000. Preferred backgrounds include computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, automation, applied mathematics, or related fields. Strong preparation in linear algebra, probability, and statistics is expected, along with experience in ML, deep learning, or statistical learning. Self-motivation, independent thinking, and prior research/project experience are valued.
Research assistants:
Monthly salary is about HKD 13,000–16,000. This role suits students or recent graduates preparing for PhD applications. Applicants should have relevant training, Python skills, basic ML/data analytics knowledge, and the ability to read English papers. Research, coding, or competition experience is a plus.
Postdoctoral researchers:
Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant field, with experience in ML, AI, medical AI, complex systems modeling, or related areas. Strong research, writing, and communication skills are expected.
Research assistant professors:
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field, a mature research direction or plan, and the ability to lead projects and publish high-quality work. Mentoring, project organization, and collaboration experience is preferred.
