Joo-Won Nam is an Assistant Professor at Yeungnam University in South Korea. His research interests encompass the structural modification of natural compounds, their pharmacological properties, and the development of innovative analytical methodologies. Recent publications include studies on the anti-inflammatory activity of isoegomaketone, quantification of caffeoylquinic acid derivatives, and the antibacterial characteristics of metabolites from Platycodon grandiflorum. He is also involved in exploring the protective effects of phenolic glycosides in neuroblastoma cells and the pharmacological benefits of various natural products.
