Jorge Miguel Miranda is a Full Professor at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. His research focuses on seismic activity, tsunami hazards, and the environmental management of marine systems, as evidenced by his recent publications on the historical earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as environmental governance in coastal areas. He is actively involved in initiatives such as the Portuguese European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and Water Column Observatory Initiative.
