The Intelligent Systems and Assistive Technologies Lab (ISAT) at Purdue University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to help develop the next generation of autonomous and cloud laboratories for advanced experimentation and research. The work sits at the intersection of robotics, manufacturing, automation, and artificial intelligence, with a strong emphasis on robotics planning, manipulation, robot coordination, and collaboration.
The researcher will contribute to Purdue’s Intelligent Codesign Cloud Lab for Non-Equilibrium and Low-Dimensional Materials (ICoN) and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team working on AI, autonomy, data science, and computational modeling of materials. The project involves autonomous research workflows for advanced materials, including ceramics, refractory alloys, 2D materials, and non-equilibrium materials, and connects with the Purdue ICoN node led by Professor Alejandro Strachan and other NSF Programmable Cloud Laboratory (PCL) nodes. The postdoctoral researcher will be advised by Professor Juan Wachs.
