About
Julia V. Gerasimova is the head of the Division and the Grunelius-Möllgaard Lab at Senckenberg Forschungsinstitut und Naturmuseum, Germany. Her research areas include molecular and morphological analyses of lichen diversity, biosynthetic gene composition in lichen-forming fungi, and the effects of environmental factors on urban epiphytic lichen communities. Recent articles highlight her work on the genomic assembly of Toniniopsis dissimilis and the high diversity of Bacidia species, particularly in the Caucasus and the Russian Far East.
