Dr. Kamil Steczkiewicz is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland. His research areas include α/β hydrolases, endoplasmic reticulum function and autophagy in Arabidopsis, and the functional implications of low-complexity regions in fungi. He has contributed significantly to the classification of cysteine proteinases and the understanding of S100 calcium-binding proteins. Dr. Steczkiewicz is also involved in exploring the genomic adaptations of Rhyzopertha dominica and the biological functions of various proteins from Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
