Dr. Karel Michalek is a professor and the Head of the Department of Metallurgy and Foundry at VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in the Czech Republic. His research areas include the physical and numerical modeling of steel flow dynamics, aluminum melt refining processes, and the optimization of technological parameters in metallurgical processes.
