Karim Mekhail is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Spatial Genome Organization at the University of Toronto, Canada. His research focuses on the dynamics of nuclear and genomic processes, particularly in relation to DNA double-strand break repair and ribosomal RNA biogenesis. Recent articles include studies on machine-learning-based image analysis of nuclear structures and the interactions involved in genomic stability, particularly in BRCA1-mutant cancers.
