PhD Positions in Risk-Based Systems Analytics, Industrial and Systems Engineering

The Risk-Based Systems Analytics Laboratory at the University of Oklahoma, led by Professor Kash Barker, is seeking new PhD students to join their research group in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. The lab focuses on the identification and mitigation of chokepoints and other risks in supply chain networks, the disruption of infrastructure networks resulting from disinformation weaponized by adversaries, and various topics related to network interdiction, network optimization under uncertainty, risk, and resilience. Current doctoral students are working on projects such as disinformation and multi-layer network disruptions, network interdiction under disinformation, robust network disruptions, production resilience, and supply chain optimization for critical minerals. The lab has a strong track record of placing graduates in faculty positions at leading institutions such as Vanderbilt University, Iowa State University, Mississippi State University, and the University of Oxford. Prospective students should have or be completing a master's degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations research, or related disciplines.
