About

Professor Kresten Lindorff-Larsen is a faculty member at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. His research focuses on protein stability, mutagenesis, and the dynamics of intrinsically disordered proteins, as evidenced by his recent publications on protein translation, water coordination in pH-dependent gating, and computational assessments of protein structures. He is also involved in studies related to protein interactions and the molecular dynamics of viral genomes.

Postdoctoral Position and PhD Fellowship in structure-function mechanisms and conservation of metabolic enzyme filaments at the University of Copenhagen . This opportunity is in the Hvorecny Group / newly established laboratory in the Department of Biology and the Linderstrøm-Lang Centre for Protein Science . The research focuses on how cells organize metabolism through reversible assembly of enzymes into micron-scale structures, especially protein filaments and other enzyme assemblies. Research directions include: understanding the rules governing homo- and hetero-oligomeric assembly of key enzymes from intermediary metabolism; probing the conservation of enzyme assemblies across evolution; and identifying cellular triggers and regulation of assembly. The work uses biophysical , biochemical , and cellular approaches, with strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and open science. This post is relevant for candidates interested in biology , biochemistry , biophysics , protein science , cellular metabolism , and evolution . The post explicitly advertises both postdoc and PhD openings. Funding details are not stated in the post, but applicants are directed to the official UCPH job postings for full information on requirements and application procedures. To apply, review the official postings for the Postdoctoral Position and the PhD Fellowship and follow the university application instructions.
