About

Malte Jochum is a Professor for Above-belowground Interaction Ecology at the University of Wuerzburg, Germany. His research areas include soil ecology, the interactions between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, and the impacts of global change on biodiversity. Recent articles authored by Professor Jochum focus on elemental content in plants and animals, microbial controls in soil food webs, and the effects of invertebrate decline. He actively engages in communicating soil biodiversity research to broader audiences, including children.
