María del Carmen Galván Malagón is a Profesor Contratado Doctor at Universidad de Extremadura in Spain. Her research areas include the emotional experiences of university students in learning environments, the impact of self-efficacy and anxiety on academic engagement, and teachers' beliefs about plurilingualism. Additionally, she investigates the relationship between stressors, cyberloafing, and smartphone addiction among higher vocational education students, as well as the levels of stress, anxiety, and depression experienced by university students during periods of confinement and virtual learning.
