Dr. Marek Joukal is the Head of the Department at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. His research interests include the intrinsic neuronal activation of the CXCR4 signaling axis in cervical primary sensory neurons, the application of confocal laser endomicroscopy in diagnosing Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma, and the limitations of finite element models created from (micro)CT datasets in biomechanical studies of bone-implant interactions. Dr. Joukal's recent publications reflect his commitment to advancing knowledge in these critical areas of study.
