Maria Jose de la Torre is a Profesora Titular de Universidad at Universidad de Jaén, Spain. Her research focuses on the dispersion of potentially toxic elements in alluvial deposits from abandoned mining sites, the characterization of wall paintings in the Alhambra, and the mobility and bioavailability of metal(loid)s in fluvial systems affected by mining activities. Additionally, she has conducted spectroscopic investigations of wall paintings within the monumental ensemble of the Alhambra.
