Postdoctoral Researcher for the Project aiTrust: Consumer Trust in Online Reviews and Social Media Comments in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies is offering a part-time postdoctoral researcher position for the project aiTrust, which investigates consumer trust in online reviews and social media comments in the context of artificial intelligence. The project, led by principal investigator Maria Petrescu, aims to understand how AI-generated content influences consumer perceptions, purchasing decisions, and behavior. The research will employ multi-method and multi-stakeholder approaches to develop a comprehensive framework of online trust, analyze the relationship between AI-generated content and consumer trust, and provide recommendations for public policy and best practices. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and committed team, collaborating on challenging questions related to artificial intelligence, sentiment analysis, social networking analysis, marketing and management strategy, public policy, marketing data modeling, and online marketing. Responsibilities include conducting research activities, developing algorithms and statistical methods, writing scientific reports and articles, and disseminating results at international conferences. The position offers flexible working hours, intensive team cooperation, and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a rapidly evolving field. Applicants must have a PhD in economics, business mathematics, business informatics, marketing, or management, with advanced skills in statistical and econometric modeling, data analysis, scientific writing, and excellent English proficiency. The contract is fixed-term until June 30, 2026, with a gross hourly salary of 80 lei for 80 hours per month.
