PhD studentship in sustainable energy at Imperial College London through the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Grantham Institute - Climate Change and the Environment. This funded opportunity is aimed at candidates with a degree in an Engineering or Science discipline who want to pursue research in sustainable energy , energy systems , low-carbon technologies , energy economics and policy , energy transmission and storage , sustainable transport , synthetic fuels , urban energy systems , and related data-driven approaches. Funding : 3.5 years of support, including an annual stipend of £23,805, home tuition fees covered up to £5,238 per year (UKRI home fee level), and £5,000 for allowable research expenses. The post is open to both home and international students, but international applicants must arrange additional funding for the tuition fee difference. How it works : applicants should first identify an academic supervisor in the department and email them a cover letter and CV. A full PhD application is not required at this initial stage.
