Leibniz University Hannover is seeking applications for a Full Professor position in Intelligent Systems, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will join the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the L3S Research Center, contributing to Hannover's status as an AI hub. Key research areas include Embodied AI, Neurosymbolic AI, Agentic AI, Trustworthy AI, and Generative AI. The role involves research and development of intelligent systems capable of learning, interacting, and solving complex problems independently.
The position requires internationally recognized expertise in at least one of the specified AI areas, demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences and journals. Experience in acquiring third-party funding, independently conducting courses, and international visibility in AI networks or committees is essential. The candidate should be able to develop and deliver innovative courses in English for both Bachelor's and Master's programs. Additional desirable qualifications include experience in leading cooperative research projects, positive teaching evaluations, supervising junior researchers, and connections to the Lower Saxony Centre for AI and Causal Methods in Medicine (CAIMed) or the university's excellence clusters.
