Yale University is hiring a postdoc in Computational Cardiac Biomechanics through an NIH T32 fellowship. This joint position is between Martin Pfaller’s lab and Sinusas Albert’s Translational Research Imaging Center . The project focuses on building subject-specific finite element models of the left ventricle to guide hydrogel injection after myocardial infarction . The work uses longitudinal imaging data from echo, CT, and SPECT and tests predictions in a porcine model . They are looking for candidates with a background in nonlinear continuum mechanics , finite elements , and scientific computing , plus a strong interest in learning the acquisition and post-processing of medical imaging data. This is a 2–3 year postdoctoral position, paid at Yale’s postdoc salaries , with a flexible start before June 2027 . The opportunity is restricted to US citizens or permanent residents .
