PhD in (Bio)degradable Acrylic Ink for 3D Printing and Thionolactone Polymer Chemistry

PhD opportunity in thionolactone monomer design , polymer chemistry , degradable acrylic inks , and 3D printing at SOFTMAT (Chemistry of Colloids, Polymers & Complex Assemblies), University of Toulouse / CNRS, within the HEAL4WARD MSCA Doctoral Network . The project focuses on designing novel thionolactone-based (bio)degradable acrylic compositions for additive manufacturing, with applications in advanced wound care devices . Research topics include monomer synthesis, radical polymerization, polymer degradation studies, polymer formulation, and 3D-printing. The work is embedded in a strong international environment with secondments in England and the Netherlands . Eligibility: applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, materials science, or a related field. A background in polymer chemistry or organic synthesis is preferred, and experience with polymer characterization, structure-property relationships, or additive manufacturing is an advantage. Strong English skills are required. MSCA mobility rules apply. Funding: this is a fully funded PhD position under an MSCA fellowship, with a planned duration of 36 months . The offer states a minimum salary of 2300 EUR/month , plus living and mobility allowances, and a possible family allowance. Deadline: 18 May 2026 . Start date: October 2026 . How to apply: use the application links provided in the post and consult the HEAL4WARD and CNRS pages for the full project description and requirements.
