Michael Stekoll is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Alaska, USA. His research areas include the development of scalable coastal and offshore kelp farming, optimizing seaweed biomass production, and mariculture research of various kelp species such as Macrocystis pyrifera and Saccharina latissima in Southeast Alaska. He has contributed significantly to understanding the conditions for propelling advances in marine biomass production through his recent articles.
