Postdoctoral Researcher in Neurocognitive Aging and Brain Energy Modeling

Postdoctoral position in neurocognitive aging and brain energy modeling at Université Grenoble Alpes in Grenoble, France, within the Laboratory of Psychology and Neurocognition (LPNC, CNRS UMR 5105) . The NEUROAGE project focuses on neurocognitive aging , cognitive reserve , brain energy dynamics , and individual aging trajectories . The work aims to move beyond group-average approaches and develop a precision neuropsychology framework integrating cognitive reserve and brain energy measures to explain resilience, vulnerability, and aging phenotypes. Research topics include multimodal data integration, structural and functional connectivity, graph theory, Bayesian modeling, GAM, mediation analyses, machine learning, and predictive phenotyping. The role involves structuring and harmonizing multimodal datasets, constructing a CBR index and energy metrics, modeling reserve-energy-cognition relationships, and identifying phenotypes and trajectories. Applicants should have a PhD in computational neuroscience , strong neuroimaging expertise (especially fMRI/connectivity), strong Python and machine learning skills, and experience with multivariate modeling (e.g., PCA/PLS). Experience with multimodal integration, dynamic modeling (HMM), and MEG is a plus. The position is 18 months long, with a possible extension. The post does not mention a stipend amount or full funding details. To apply, prepare a CV, publication list, three selected papers, a cover letter, and recommendation letters, then contact Monica Baciu by email.
