PhD Position 1: AI-Driven Additive Manufacturing in Microgravity for Next-Generation Space Structures . This project sits at the intersection of AI/ML, computational mechanics, multiphysics modeling, digital twins, advanced composite materials, space manufacturing, and autonomous systems. The research aims to understand how reduced gravity affects material behavior and to develop intelligent manufacturing strategies for orbital infrastructures, lunar habitats, deep-space missions, and future aerospace systems. PhD Position 2: AI-Driven Discovery of Next-Generation Multifunctional Materials for Extreme Applications . This project focuses on autonomous AI for materials discovery using generative AI, large language models, graph neural networks, knowledge graphs, physics-informed machine learning, materials informatics, digital twins, and additive manufacturing. The goal is to accelerate discovery of multifunctional materials for aerospace, hydrogen technologies, energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and future space applications. Eligibility highlights: excellent academic record, strong analytical and programming skills (Python preferred), relevant background in AI, machine learning, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or related fields, plus strong English communication skills.
