Postdoc in Neuroimaging, Neurogenetics, and Translational Neuroscience at the University of Cape Town

The University of Cape Town Neuroscience Institute is advertising a postdoctoral fellowship through the Centre of Brain and Behaviour in the Department of Psychiatry & Mental Health , Faculty of Health Sciences. This opportunity is for research in neuroimaging , neurogenetics , and/or translational neuroscience , with cross-cutting work in brain and behaviour. The post is suitable for candidates with a strong background in fundamental and/or clinical research in one of these areas. Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD degree completed within the past 5 years, or provide proof of thesis submission at the time of application. An excellent academic record is required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Applicants should not previously have held full-time permanent professional or comprehensive academic posts. Funding and conditions: the fellowship is renewable annually depending on satisfactory academic progress and availability of funding. There are no fringe benefits, and the successful candidate is responsible for their own medical aid and insurance arrangements. Tax-free status will be arranged with the South African Revenue Services.
