PhD and Postdoc Positions in Neurodevelopmental Pathways at University of Oslo

The University of Oslo is recruiting for two exciting positions within the interdisciplinary Convergence Environment: NeuroPathways. These roles include a PhD position focused on gene-environment interplay and neurodevelopment, and a postdoctoral position investigating psychosocial and clinical pathways in neurodevelopmental conditions. The NeuroPathways project aims to bridge biomedical and social sciences to unravel the complex factors underlying neurodevelopmental differences and to provide robust evidence for supporting individuals and fostering a more inclusive society. The project, led by Rosa Cheesman and a team of distinguished researchers including Krister Fjermestad, Alexandra Havdahl, Astrid Marie Jorde Sandsør, Nicolai T. Borgen, and Hedvig Marie Nordeng, is funded by UiO:Life Science. The research environment is highly collaborative, with a focus on examining how genetic, pharmacological, psychosocial, and educational factors interact to shape neurodevelopmental outcomes. Key objectives include understanding the rise in neurodevelopmental diagnoses, mapping inequalities in access to diagnostic and support services, evaluating the long-term effectiveness of interventions, and highlighting heterogeneity in intervention effects based on genetic and social contexts.
