PhD and MSc Positions in Toxicology and Medical Science at Universiti Sains Malaysia

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is inviting applications for PhD and MSc research mode positions in the Department of Toxicology, Advanced Medical and Dental Institute, under the supervision of Associate Professor Noorfatimah Yahaya. The opportunity is open to Malaysian students and international students from low or lower-middle income countries. The research group focuses on toxicology and medical science, providing a dynamic environment for postgraduate research. The USM CARE Scholarship covers tuition fees for eligible full-time research mode PhD postgraduate students. No living allowance is provided, and international students should note that the scheme does not include the 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST) imposed by the Malaysian Government. The scholarship has a maximum duration of 36 months and must be renewed every semester based on research progress. Applicants must meet the following requirements: a Bachelor's Degree with CGPA ≥ 3.00/4.00 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government for PhD entry, or a Master's Degree by coursework/mixed mode with CGPA ≥ 3.50/4.00 or by research mode for MSc entry. Additionally, candidates must have at least one manuscript published in a journal indexed by WoS/SCOPUS. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for interviews via email, so applicants should check their email regularly. The application deadline is 19 January 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the research group via LinkedIn or the provided phone numbers for further information. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in toxicology, medical science, and dental research to join a reputable institution and advance their academic careers.
