About
Professor Pernilla Witting-Stafshede is a faculty member at Chalmers tekniska högskola in Sweden. Her research focuses on the study of amyloids with particular emphasis on α-synuclein and their implications in biological systems and diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. Recent articles highlight her work on substrate-binding sites in amyloids, the chemical damage caused by biological amyloids to DNA, and the role of copper ions in amyloid formation.
