Peter Igaz is a full professor of medicine and the head of the Department of Medicine at Semmelweis Egyetem in Hungary since May 15, 2020. His research areas include adrenocortical carcinoma, circulating miRNA analysis in endocrine tumors, and the screening of pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma. He has contributed significantly to the understanding of gene expression profiling and somatic variant patterns in tumor biology through his recent publications.
