PhD opportunity in Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) at the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France, focused on the interface of chemistry , chemical engineering , and energy . The project investigates how SAFs age over time, how oxidation changes fuel composition, and how early oxidation products evolve into oligomers, gums, and deposits. Planned methods include experimental oxidation studies in reactors, GC/MS, HPLC, IR and Raman spectroscopy, and microfluidic approaches. The candidate will work on developing analytical protocols, characterizing oxidized products, and validating experimental methods for liquid-phase SAF oxidation.
