UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is hiring a Postdoctoral Scholar in New World Screwworm Ecology and Surveillance through the EpiPandit Lab. This interdisciplinary opportunity sits at the intersection of veterinary science , infectious disease epidemiology , disease ecology , wildlife and livestock surveillance , spatial risk modeling , forecasting , artificial intelligence , machine learning , data science , and geospatial analysis . The project aims to develop next-generation surveillance systems for New World Screwworm and other emerging threats at the wildlife–livestock interface, with collaborators across academia, government, conservation, and technology sectors. The successful candidate should have strong quantitative skills and a strong interest in disease surveillance, ecology, data science, AI, geospatial analysis, and emerging infectious diseases. The role is based in person at University of California, Davis . Funding is provided for two years , with the possibility of extension.
