About

Raija Laiho is a Research Professor at the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). Her research focuses on the role of organic soils in carbon dynamics, particularly in hemiboreal peatland ecosystems. Recent studies have investigated CO2 and CH4 fluxes in relation to agricultural practices and environmental variables, as well as the impact of reindeer on soil microbial communities. Her work contributes to a better understanding of ecological modeling and management practices in the context of climate change.
