Roberta de Oliveira Soares is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Her research focuses on the dynamics of social interactions in educational and health contexts, particularly concerning international students, social categories, and systemic barriers in access to higher education. Recent articles include studies on the experiences of Chinese international students in Quebec and the pathways to medicine for Black students with immigrant backgrounds in Canada.
