Roberto Sassi

Roberto Sassi is the Chief Psychiatrist at BC Children’s Hospital in Canada. His research focuses on adolescent mental health, particularly in relation to immigrant and refugee populations, and includes studies on depression, nonmedical opioid use, and the impact of prenatal adversity on brain development. He has contributed to the implementation of Canada's first child psychiatry access program and has published extensively on the diagnosis and management of mental health issues among youth.
