About
Ryuichi Sakamoto is a Professor at the National Institute for Fusion Science in Japan. His research focuses on plasma physics, particularly the interactions of helium and hydrogen plasmas with tungsten materials, as well as the optimization of pellet fueling in stellarators. He has contributed significantly to understanding plasma behavior in experiments using the Large Helical Device (LHD) and the implications for achieving burning plasma conditions.
