Post-doctoral Associate in Economics
New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking applications for a Post-doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science, focusing on Economics. This two-year appointment, starting September 1, 2026 (pending budget approval and UAE visa acquisition), is designed for individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics, particularly those specializing in macro, labor, or development economics. The successful candidate will split their time equally between independent research and collaborative projects with Professors Pauline Corblet and Samreen Malik. Collaborative research will center on labor and education economics, with a special emphasis on structural models and labor market surveys to investigate the role of beliefs in labor markets across both developed and developing economies. The ideal candidate will possess strong empirical and theoretical economics skills, proficiency in coding, and experience in survey design, data analysis, and applying structural models related to human capital development and labor markets. While teaching is not required, opportunities for compensated teaching experience may be available.
